Default simple question about wiring VSS

Hey, search is down so I have to make yet another worthless thread:

Tomorrow I'm going to wire my VSS sensor directly to my ECU. This is the first time I have attempted anything like this myself so I have one brief question : the black wire gets grounded out, the signal wire is sent to B10 on my ecu, but what do I do with the 5v constant? Where do I hook that up to get a reliable power supply to the sensor? Must be permanent because this is how I plan to run my speed sensor due to something wrong with my harness. TIA!!

Find a wiring schematic for your specific vehicle and find a hot at all time 5v power source. Where was the speed sensor originally?

take your flywheel check plate off and check the condition of your flywheel. Chips or worn teeth could cause the vss to function improperly.

can't you get it straight from the ECU?

okay so.. I grounded out the ground, that worked fine. I ran the signal wire to B10 and it worked fine as far as I could tell, then I tried to wire the power to the 12V on the fusebox. No luck.. No speedometer and CEL #17 VSS. I'm pretty sure the power supply was the problem because when I hooked a volt meter to the connection on the ECU it said it was at .6V at idle and moved up and down as I accellerated. The signal is supposed to be between 0 and 5v so thats fine. But when I checked the 12V on the fusebox I got no current, even with the car on. I was testing the second of the 5 terminals. The 4th and 5th ones work fine I know because I have my autometer 5" (yeah yeah) wired to those. Any ideas?

If theres a better place to be getting my voltage let me know
