5K RPM PROBLEM NEEED HELP!!!
Ok my setup is ls/vtec turbo, im running a GM 3 bar map and its got a break in tune with Uberdata. Im still breaking the new internals in but under no boost just accelerating when it hits 5k it falls on its face. the more acceleration the faster the cut comes? if i try to get any kind of boost , 4 pounds give or take it cuts out at like 3500. if gotten it retuned with Uberdata 3 times, then tried a Chrome tune, didnt work same exact thing, then i thought maybe it was my ignition system (MSD SCI) so i took it out, still didnt fix it. I've tried three different GM 3 bar maps and im honestly stumped. Any suggestions would be awesome. I NEED HELP

Specs on your turbo Ls/vtec? What pistons/rods are you running? What turbo (kit)? I'm planning on doing the same thing so i'm trying to get a range of parts people use.
Brand new dizzy, brand new 750cc RCs, im running B18A bottom end with Eagle rods, JE pistons, GSR head
I havent ran it with our inovative wideband yet to see if it goes rich or lean. i will double check the fuel crossover. Thanks for all yalls input KEEP IT COMING

Sounds like the ignitor. I had this same problem awhile back on my 2000 Si and put a new distributor etc. If you still use the same ignitor the problem will persist.
There is a write up on how to check it.

I am still running a MSD coil, could that be the problem? thats the only think that keeps popping up in my head. But if a coil is bad it would be all or nothing right?
Pull all MSD igntion stuff out. Replace ENTIRE distributor assembly again and recheck. Make sure that in Uberdata the VTEC engage and disengage are at least a few hundred RPM's difference (I.E. Engage=4700 Disengage=4500). I have had simialr "breakup" problems when having the engage/disenage at to close of an RPM. Good luck and report back.

I think the coil is your problem, I bet you wired one of the 2 ground wires wrong.

so you think a base map should run flawless, on you set up, as well as the next guys? you need to get that thing tuned up.

get a wideband on it and learn how to tune a car, people kill me thinking you can just dump a program in the ecu and go. and with a rotor button looking like that what plugs are you using and are they a resistor type plug

I know the difference in a base map, and a tune, im not saying it should run flawless, it should at least rev all the way out though. right??
