adjusting(leveling) ride height without coilovers?
Hi! I installed STech springs with factory shocks on my EJ8 a few weeks ago. I'm happy with the ride however I don't like how the car sits leveled. Approximately same height from and rear. I was hoping that the front will sag a little more than the rear but no. This is with no people in the car. Rear considerably lower even with just only one person on the backseat.
Anyways, is there a way to raise my rear a bit? Maybe 1/4" or so without getting new springs. I also have a Jeep and there are coil spacers available to adjust ride height. Is there such thing for Honda suspensions?
Thanks,

cut a piece of rubber to work as a small gasket/ spacer and put it between the shock collar and the body of the car, make sure its not too thick only like 1/8th inch

I would not reccomend this. If you put a spacer in there, it may be possible for the spring to move around if it doesn't sit far enough into the top hat; and if you put it between the top hat and the body of the car, you may not have enough threads and they will be loose after the spacer compresses.
There's really no way to adjust ride height with your setup.

It works fine on my DC4

Just make sure to get it tight and there are plenty of threads left

I remember a product carried by JC Whitney... ghetto cruisers would sport them. Essentially a clamp with grooves to either push the coils apart or pull them together. As mentioned, a VERY crude and unsafe way of adjustment - yet very cheap.

This will be my final solution. As off now, I think I will modify a pair of my Jeep spacers to fit between the top of the spring and the top spring perch(collar). It shouldn't be too much work since the the jeep spacer is about the same diameter as my civic springs.
I did a search and found out that Energy Suspension makes Honda coils springs isolator but unfurtunately non of the local auto parts store in my area stock them. They would have to be special ordered and I would have to wait for 6 weeks or somethin'.
Thanks for all the replies!
