Default Gains on removing P/S

Does anyone have any stats on what gains are made by removing power steering (in 1/4 mile times)? I took mine off, but haven't been to a dyno or track yet. My guess is it took off about 10lbs, and it might help in trap speed. But in daily driving, I don't think I've noticed anything spectacular (not that I was, tho).

I'm just wondering if it's really just maybe a 2-5whp gain? Plus the weight reduction. Might it possibly translate to 1 or 2 tenths off the 1/4 mile?

(for me, I'm using a B18B1 motor -- but the P/S stuff is all my stock del Sol S/Civic DX parts).

Is it ok to remove the upper P/S bracket? It is bolted to the head of the motor. I'm afraid it's gonna leave two holes in the head. I just do it and see, right?

on an ITR an average gain of about 3 WHP is the norm.

Take off that bracket. It doesn't do anything if you don't have P/S, just more weight.

Ha! True!! It's a lot harder to turn. I must just be weak, cause now it takes both hands to turn (at slow parking lot speeds). It's cool at high speeds though.

It's pretty easy to take off the P/S. But some people were telling me like "nah, it's not that much harder to steer" The hell it's not! Ok, ok, it's not THAT bad. But, I am thining of just puting the P/S back on.... I gotta order some more P/S fluid, and I'd like to make some passes at the track first to see if it effected E/T or trap speed.
