Default black/textured bumpers on 92-95s?

I searched... And it was broken, but i've been a member of this forum for quite some time and never EVER see posts on black/textured bumpers. I have only seen a black textured front bumper once on a nicely modified teal hatch all JDM'd out...

Does anyone have info on what 92-95 models had textured bumpers if any?? I want to texture the bumpers on my 92 DX hatch and paint the rest bird **** white, drop it slightly on some stiff *** springs and put my stock steelies back on wrapped in some hoosiers or advans or something... gut it and go surprise some people...

oh BTW pics of anyones textured bumps would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you have seen black (stock)bumpers on 92-95 civics it because they have been replaced for some reason or another at some point.
None came in black, the bumpers of those years are always painted.

Just what I like...rock chip carbon fiber. Looks the best. And doors without reinforcement, love to get in an accident in that....

lol thats disgusting. But only because it's on a cav. It would look just right on my Civic... Total sleeper. Unassuming with 400whp+ on tap and more than enough chassis/drivetrain to hook it reasonably well. cops would never suspect it, suckers would never suspect it when i hit em up for cash heads up.

So it's a replacement only thing... i know that they came from the factory textured black on 88-91... too bad they stopped it looks so anti-rice...

maybe in third world countries they came unpainted? like the same countries where you can buy 1300cc D series...

that gives me an idea i'm starting my own trend, fu*ck jdm it's all about ZDM, Zambian domestic market... the styles from the street of the poorest country on earth. I can see it now, for extra ZDM stunna points, hook up a mad "D series" engine AKA taking out the stock engine and pulling your car with a donkey.

no, i have all forged internals, etc... a TON of parts. so the framework is there for way over 400... bare block is sitting on the stand right now, pistons, rods, crank are in my closet, fuel pump, clutch, LSD are out in the garage too... other parts are all over the place like edelbrock intake manifold, etc. still building though. gotta fix up the body really bad. currently teal with flat black and bondo everywhere.

unless your "opponents" have been living under a rock for the past 5 years, i dont anybody really buys into the "sleeper look". And since the oem craze took over after the ricer phase, every car looks like a 'sleeper'... so now you're trying to make your car look MORE stock than stock?

i have an idea... the new sleeper... total junkers. you can bust out a window or two, run with a flat tire, take one of the front fenders off, make sure your muffler is dragging on the ground, and to complete the look, maybe you could have a tow truck drag your car around, nobody would expect it to be fast right?

I think it looks alright, and it's functional. That's all that matters to me! it's not just the stealth factor, i like the cheap *** early 90s honda look.

Some people will always buy into the sleeper look, ie: non-honda owners, etc. and btw, most people in this area are 5 years behind everything anyway (Winnipeg, Canada). I know that the domestic guys at the dragstrip would totally be surprised, as well.

yeah i know a guy on another forum with a hachi who has a clothes hanger as an antenna and duct tape all over his car... it's nutty fast btw.

Here is a bad pic of my car from a couple years back. The bumper is not textured, its primered waiting to get painted.

Not quite a show car but was a daily driver through Chicago winters. That was the main reason I got em, don't have to worry about painting em.You can clearly see all the rock chips on my bumper, never the hood or fenders. Car has been sold.
