Default timing belt change

Recently purchased a 93 accord, lx. has 170k, original owner took good careful maintenance. He looked @, but never changed belt. Says it seemed to be in good shape. Should I about double my investment of $900 in the car to change the belt(s)? 3 dealers in my area are about even with a quote price of $500-600. Car is in nice shape, and runs well. No oil seeps, loss or burning. I'm hoping the car will hold up for a few more years of inexpensive driving.
