i like my car clean but man i see some peoples cars and they look showroom clean, where do you find the time? why are some people so ****? the cars meant to be driven,its going to get scratched,its going to get dirty!

My car is sitting in a shed, parked on an old blanket, under a car cover, and two tarps. My baby gets waxed once a month, washed twice a week. I don't eat in my car, I rarely drink in my car(and get nervous when anyone else does), and nobody smokes within 5 ft. of my car. My prelude has made it 9 years without a ding, it will stay that way.

 

You know, waxing your car that often is actually not good for it.

 

I used to be **** about my car. If it rained one day, it'd be washed the next no matter what...and waxed on a monthly basis. Engine and interior finger-licking clean. Eventually, idiots who don't know how open their doors without denting my car and idiots who don't know how to leave their parking spaces without hitting my car (and leaving nice deep scratches) took their toll and I no longer care as much as before. Now I wash my car only if I'm bored or if the day is nice. Every now and then I'll wash her out in 30 degree weather if she's that dirty.

I'd like to take this time to emphasize the impact of idiots. Thanks to parking lot idiots, I no longer care as much about my car's exterior. Thank you...********.

i wash/vaccum about once a week, and wax every 1-2months no one eats or drinks in my car except me- which rarely happens- and no one smokes in it either

i wax mine once a month and i'd like to know how that's bad for it as well....my paint looks like the day i bought it......and i have owned my car for 5 years and it hasn't fucked the paint up. i think your talking smack

Meguiar's step 1-3.........twice a year

Interior.....once a week
Engine bay......twice a year

I wash mine 1 once a week and wax it 1 time every 2 months.I feel you always gotta have a clean ride,telling me you don't love it when your ride is flossin with that mirror shine?During the summer i may wash the car 3 times a week thow.

 

I like the whole clean car look, but it goes away the second after you wash it. So I just let my car get super dirty and only wash it on special occasions, and there aren't that many of those.

my car is made to drive and god forbid i drive over a puddle or get a bug smushed on the front bumper

lol, thats what i like to hear, man i keep my car somewhat clean but not "showroom" condition, i almost had to slap my nephew in the head when it looked like he was going to cry cause his bumper got nicked,it was about the size of a pen *****,a dot!

 

During the summertime there are meets every weekend with up to 200 people attending. I won't park my prelude in front of 200 people if it's not clean.

 

Like someone said, I used to wanan keep my stuff clean everyday, but then it got pointless. Then I saw the light again after it got painted blue, but that didnt last. Hoenstly, my car doesnt get "dirty". I wipe off my rims daily w/a towel to get off dirt

wash-1-2 times a month
wax-2 times a year
clay bar-once a year
rims-daily, weekly w/hose

 

Eating in my car is allowed only in rare circumstances (i.e. hot chick wants some fries). Drinks are evil ecspecially coffee (thanks dad) I wash it once a week. Wax it maybe every two or three months.

You got to take good care of her.

 

I'm very **** about my car!! Always have been and always will be. I can't stand a dirty car or a dirty house. Mine is not Show Room clean but it gets there for Car Shows. I wash my car every week but I don't have the time like when I was single. I don't smoke, barely drink or eat in my car. Car stays undercover and parked far away when I go out. My daughter is the only one allowed to partially eat from Mc D's to the house, less than 3 min drive. My car is scratch free and I intend to keep it that way. A car these days cost to much, it might not be a Ferrari but is my car which I'm paying a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ for it.

 

well,i wash or wipe off dirt everytime after it rains,bird takes a fresh restroom break on my car..i guess u can say thats kinda ****?

 

I used to detail cars and my car is filthy. I am just tired of doing it. Oh by the way waxing every month is not bad unless you are using that cleaner/wax stuff. Also, waxing your car every month is not good. A coat of wax lasts anywhere from 2 to 3 months. So you are basically building up a thick layer of wax when you wax every month. Honestly, it is just waisted energy. You should also shampoo your carpet quarterly. Keeps the carpet looking nice and the car smelling gooooooood. later.

 

I don't know about " **** " but i like to keep my car clean. Not just the outside, but the engine bay and interrior. If you do one you have to do the other.

 

Yeah I am **** about my car , People who know me , know my car just by its shine . My car is always waxed monthly , washed weekly , interior is cleaned and deodorized weekly (a smoker I know its a nasty habit , but no burn holes) People just can't get over the fact that my car is 2 years old and the paint still looks brand new . My car might not be the fastest out there but it will outshine most of them LOL . Too each his own , some like working on the motor , I like working on appearence .

 

:raises hand: i carry around quick detailer and microfiber towel in the glove box and tire shin the the trunk along with glass cleaner

i park out in bumfuck egypt to avoin "other people" and usually double park or just park really sloppy withi the lime so people will think im crazy

but i wash it for special ocasions, like graduation, or whenever its dirty depending on where i park

wax adn claybear whenever its available again not really on a schedule, but just he past 2 weeks ive been babying it did a wash, claybar, quick wash witha few drops of carwash, nufinish polish, another quick wash, then a meguiars #81 hand polish, quik detailer, then wax

and its FULL of various gouges from flying deris, crackles, and rock chips

in my eyes, the parking lot at the grocery store is just another carshow, sorta, but not really

i just dont like to get caught ridin dirty

oh and no eating drinkin or smoking allowed

Exactly what I need to do. I need to clean my carpet. I was thinking carpet cleaner vacuum **** but that might not be all that necessary. Any suggestions? What'd you use for that?

 

I wash my car when it's dirty. I don't eat in my car, but I drink in it. Try to keep it ding and scratch free but it's a DD so it's going to happen.

 

This is how i roll in my honda:

i park away from everyone even if its 100 miles away from civilization

i only wish i had room in my garage for my car so i pull out the tent to keep it dry when i jst waxed my ride

yeh i keep all my cosmetic supplies in the trunk of my car

im agitated when little f*cks go near my car

i generally take action when that occurs

no f*cken leaning on the car!

i always keep a new airfreshner at least once a week of black ice

sometimes make people take shoes off when getting in car

no food in car (especially mc donalds)

cup holders suck so only bottled waters allowed

if a bird lays a nice turd im there right away to clean it off

I only drive my car if its clean. If it's dirty, it's getting cleaned. Thats the way it is, and the way it always will be. I bought the car in great condition, and its not going to change now that I own it.

My car is meant to be driven to, and it gets abused regularly. But I was raised to take pride in what I own, especially something I've worked hard to create. I won't cry over rock chips or dings, but I do try to keep it as clean as possible.

Where do I find the time? I don't turn on the tv very much, that gives me quite a few spare minutes to change the oil, clean her up, etc. If I'm chasing 2 carreers and helping to run a website on the side and can find a few minutes, I'm sure anyone can.
