Default B16 SC61 dyno numbers

Got my car to the dyno this evening and got a base tune on it. Still needs work but it did better than I thought..

setup..

Stock b16
Neukin manifold & 3" DP
Hondata s200b
SC61
RC550's

257.08 whp

Redline was at 8k, boost was at 5.5lbs

For reference my old car made about 240whp at 10psi and ran 11.7's

Needs some more tune and a little more boost and it should be good to go

Nice stuff Matt. Always running sick times with basically stock boosted motors lol.

I was thinking it hit 5 lbs by 4500. It hit's boost pretty hard compared to my 57 trim

I don't know if you can use a/c or not. I'm sure you can with the right manifold since it's not much bigger than my old one.

I think it's a .60/.63.

What size compressor housing/cover did you get?

The T04S cover has a 4" inlet and 2.5" outlet and has a 0.70 AR
The T04E cover has a 3" inlet and 2" outlet and has a 0.60 AR

I just got the SC6152E myself with a T04S housing and 0.63 AR/5 bolt turbine. I'd like to know if your numbers were with an E or an S housing.

.60, it's the E cover. 5-bolt exhaust.

according to the data logs he is hitting full boost at 4700 rpm, still need to tune before boost to spool it better but overall not bad for 5lbs. I think 260-270 will be pretty easy to reach.

That's awesome, I'm stoked now. I'm going to be running a similar setup....but a short tubular manifold and an ITS SC61 killer....going to do 6 psi

Most people don't bother to run this thing @ 5.5 lbs......it's sort of a waste to have a big snail like this that makes 5.5 lbs @ 4500 RPMs. At that HP level, you could run something that spools up a full thousand RPMs sooner and still make more than ~250 whp.

What he said.

Be better off with a 50 trim and a .48AR turbine, unless you paln on ugrading the sweet open deck internals some time soon.

yeah but if he wants to ever push it up to 9 psi or so that will place him in the 70-72% efficiency range and it will make a shitload of power

Spool difference is not a issue at the track, it's in boost the whole time. This turbo allows me to make the power I want down the road without having to purchase a new turbo every 6 months.
