Default Only revs to...

to about 6,000-6,500 rpm's when I press the gas down from idle to 6,500. When it hits that high the rpm's it won't go higher. It use to go up to 7,000 rpm's but now it won't. This is all from idle to high rpm's when im just sitting there. I haven't done anything new to my car. The only thing I fixed is the Engine Coolant Circuit Sensor. It was unplugged so I plugged it back up. Specs in sig. Please help.

Mine always goes as high as I need it to - but why rev that high in neutral anyway?

What engine management are you using?

why not rev it that high in neutral? I only did it twice and stop after that cause i dont' want to ruin the motor. Right now i have a stock ECU. I'm not sure were to look for a performance chip. LINKS?

Your car doesn't go into VTEC when it's not in gear. It has a load pressure switch.

Basically it sits in safe mode. And when it's there, the rev limiter should be 6000-6500 or something like that. I haven't tried that since... oh, I dunno, I was 16? I've never seen the point in revving the motor that high while sitting still... that is unless you're Paul Walker or Vin Diesel.

Your bottom end will be happy now. Make sure theres a load on the engine before you try to rev that high.K

Last time I reved a car that high in neutral, I blew an apex seal . Yeah it was an RX-7 but the car won't even start now because of that. Now I realize how dumb it was because you're not impressing anybody.
