Default 96-98 Depo Fog Help

I already posted this on ClubCivic and couldnt really get any answers, so i'll try here. I ordered the 6th gen depo fogs from passwordjdm.com, the instructions are extremely shitty and im not sure where a few of these wires go. Heres a picture of the wiring harnesses

I have no idea where this black plug goes, ive never seen anyone with this plug

This red wire extension runs through the firewall, but then where does it go to ?

any help would be appreciated, thanks alot

just plug everything in that has a mating plug and see what happens. i just installed the depo kit on my car not too long ago and it's really easy. just plug everything in logically. pm me for more questions, if you have them.

The black plug i believe either goes to a plug behind the interior fuse panel or to the plud that is behind youre headlight. (im pretty sure its the one behind your fuse panel) The red wire with the female connector goes to the interior fuse pannel. If you got directions with the lights it should tell you what pin to put it in. Im not sure off the top of my head but i can look when i get home from work. Hope that helps some.

yea, silvertuner's Depo fogs had different harnesses (pic) he didnt have the black plug and his red wires matched up... It would be really easy if mine were like that. Im still looking for both of those plugs mates.

Nah, they would be pretty bad *** if i could get them wired up. Theres a brown plug taped behind the headlight for OEM fogs that DOES NOT mate with anything in my harnesses...i really want to get these put on today.

The red wire goes through the firewall like you said to the fuse box, this is the accesory power. It should go to one of the male spades at the top of the fuse box, sorta like the brown plug for the switch. U can run it to one that has power when u turn the lights on so the fogs will only come on when the lights are on, or you can run it to one that has power when the key is turned to at least ACC 2.

I'm checking the pics for the other questions.

I think the black plug may be for a model year that is not yours. U probably just ignore it.

Ok sorry. I was looking some more.....

The harness with the brown plug:

Brown plug goes to fuse box.
Black is ground
white plug goes to the back of the switch in the dash board.
Red wire goes through firewall and that is the one that connects to ther other harness.

they fucked up on this harness for some reason. the black plug that you do not know what it does it the wire that connects to the red wire from the switch harness.
Wierd, they accidently stuck a connector on it, you just have to cut it off and connect it either butt connector, solder.

just for future reference-- what bulbs do these fog lights use, and are they the same as the procarparts.com ones, cause they're only $80 instead of like $110???

That really sucks. I got some esuse OEM style ones off ebay and I just installed them today. It was kind of a pain but all the wires were plug and play. I didn't need to strip or solder any wires. This thread from clubcivic may help you out...http://www.clubcivic.com/board...66852 Not exactly the same kit but maybe it can get you an answer and it has lots of pictures.

I was thinking about it and I think I may know where it goes....Does the connector you labeled as connecting to the fusebox plug into the front of the fuse box? I know on my kit I had to plug in two plugs on the front of the fuse box and then there was also a connector I had to plug in to a connector taped with blue tape to the back of the fuse box.

The esuse ones have two brown plugs, i only have one for the front of the fuse box. That link helped me out a few days ago, but still no black plug...

It sucks that i payed this much for fogs thinking they would be perfect, when i could have had a set that actually works for half the price...
