Wrong, my car still sounds like that, i'm running a Magnaflow muffler with a 2 1/2" turbo back.

You know what that rhaspy sound is? It's the sound of good flowing exhaust ports, good flowing exhaust, and high compression. Anything that gets rid of that rhasp is getting rid of performance; resonators, cats, etc.

Using a quality resonator will help reduce the raspy sound, and give the exhaust a deeper tone. A non-louvered resonator will not reduce performance enough to notice.

You sir are retarded, obviously you did not read the thread. He's looking to rid his car of the sound. And you are providing false information

Hondas are designed with good flowing exhaust, you won't hear that sound by just slapping a muffler on an S10, Hondas normally have a little of that sound when just a muffler is stuck on it because most come with basically headers from the factory and good flowing head ports, usually pretty high compression as well.

The only two Hondas i've heard that don't really sound farty is a bone stock F22B1 with just a muffler (8.8 compression), and a B18B1 Integra with just a muffler as well.

There was no sarcasm. If I go back and read it again, there's no sarcasm at all. Sorry, re-evaluate your typing skills? It's spelt expletive. And there's no need for name calling.

BTW, why don't you hear this sound running open header then? Or a straight through exhaust?

Catless? Non-resonated? My muffler is straight through.

catless, resonated. Mabe not exact but you could have a nice flowing muffler without a horrible sound. Dont get me wrong, it's loud, but a deep tone not raspy

Resonators do alot for sound, have you heard it from outside though? I thought mine was deep and not rhaspy, then i had someone rev it for me when i was behind it and it sounded rhaspy as hell.

I couldn't care less, sounds like a stock Civic with a "fart can" on it. Lures people well.

I had some drive it. I really noticed the difference because when I got the car it had a apexi-GT exhaust 2 1/2 in piping with 5in tip.

Maybe it's that metal stuff with all the holes in it that are inside your muffler... No clue.
