its not that... its because you can only do so much with different caliper's and staying with a 15 rim and making things work...
you need to ask yourself.. what calipers am i going to be using? stock? spoon? endless? etc.... and also depending on what aftermarket caliper this may or may not work with your rim choice aswell.
depending on your caliper you decide on using with your car will determine your actual wheel offset you need.
if your just using stock calipers then stick with stock offset... which is +45

Ive allready upgraded my stock brakes. with the same size stuff. I want a wheel that come close to the fender with out rubbing in autocross
i have fit a 15x6.5 +35 with 205/50r15 with no problems. i have seen someone put a 15x7 +25 with the same tire size...they needed to roll the fender and had a little rubbing. i know that a 15x7 +40 to 45 with a 205/50r15 will not rub anything unless you are super slammed. i jump my civic with 01 GSR wheels with 205/50r15 over everything and never have rubbing. i am on omni coilovers set at max height in the back and the front is leveled to match it (about a 1 1/2 finger gap between the tire and fender.
