My engine is being rebuilt(si)
When i got my crx a few months ago, it was smoking like a beyatch. The kid told me it needed valve guide seals. well I took it to the shop the other day and it needs a lot more than that(it was in really bad shape though. missing, smoking, spitting oil from the exhaust 
, etc). they are doing new rods, rings, seals, head gasket, oil pan and some other misc. things.
I should be getting it back this tuesday, so we'll see how it runs. I have i/h/e and it was pretty quick even in the shape it was in.

how much was the rebuild?
i think i may need one, im gonna do a comprsion check this weekend
of course mine isnt as bad as yours sounds
