Default how long for coolant in block/rad to exchange?

weird q. after the thermostat is open, how long does it take for the coolant in the block to get to the rad, and vice versa? (obviously an estimate..)

thanks

it depends on the RPM as the water pump is run of fthe timing belt and hence the crank...

Is there a particular reason you would need to know the answer to this question, or is this just a pursuit of knowledge?

well whenever i change the coolant, i just drain/fill the rad. i dont drain the block(for some reason every dealership i talked to does the same). so i figured in order to change all the coolant, i drain, fill the rad. let it idle for a minute or so after coolant is flowing, then drain, fill the rad again

does that make sense?
