**UPDATES** page 2

im in no way a mecanic...i knew how to get around doing stuff...but nothing too crazy...

but since im putting my lude away soon for winter...god dam winters here i hate them...i decided to get a winter beater civic...i was bored with the stock dx engine so decided i was going to try something out... since i had some spare time on my hands...

and here it is...ill let the pics explain for them selves...

again for me this is sorta motivating, because in no way am i a mecanic...yea ive spent time doing my turbo setup with my buddy but he was doing most of the work...anyway...here it is...

dam i look like ****!!

yeah, they salt here like crazy, sucks too

in the summer you clean your car and pollen gets all over it here within a day.

in winter you clean your car and they start salting the roads.

sucks

alright... i lived in upstate ny for 20 years and drove through 6 winters and from my experience the more power and torque you have the more you're car is gona suck ***** in the snow even if you put skinny winters on, so if you ask me its a mistake to put that motor in for a winter car but by the look of it by the time you're done its not gona be a winter beater anymore, from what i hear from my fam. up there its not gona be done by the time the snow falls

its pretty much done...just need some minor adjustments and im set...the power thing has nothing to do with it...it will probably end up being a project more than anything....the point here was to sorta motivate other people...you dont need to be a grade A mecanic to have some fun with your car

by the way i knew about the salt thing, it was just figure of speach

here is the other car thats going away for winter

Nice work man, get it done before the snow hits. Why spend all winter working on your car when you can play some pond hockey. We only dream of spontanious ice hockey games breaking out here in the south.

My car gets around better now than it ever did with my z6.
Extra weight maybe...? Not such a 'peeky' power-band...? I have no idea.

to the poster:
Nice Lude. What did you do to convert that LS over...? That valve-cover is gonna need a new coat when you're done

Well, your car is a 92-95 civic (obd1).
Judging from the valve-cover on your LS, it looks like an obd2 motor. Which you'll want to convert-over to avoid problems. Or someone could have just been nice and gave you a newer-style cover. (the old ones had the ugly block-style VC... the new ones are nice and smooth, like the b20 VC, which is what you have).
