Default H&R OE sport springs

i own a 96 integra RS and i can get a really good deal on some HR OE sport springs, now the drop on these springs are minimal but its exactly what i want, The problem is that these springs are off of a 92-95 honda civic, and the part numbers are different, even though civic and integra springs are interchangeable those years. Somebody told me because the spring rates are different. Would i be ok running a spring setup from a civic?

You would be ok. The spring rates are definitely different. OE sports isn't that like a .75 inch drop our something not worth the time in my opionion. You will be fine though.

Right the spring rates are diffrent thats what sets real suspension company's apart from others H&R has springs that match each application unlike other Spring manufactuers where a Civic = Integra and all years are the same.

But you shouldn't have a problem w/ fitment on those springs..

Basically it will be ok it just won't be perfect for that car. If this was a Sprint Spring for example it would be the same spring and you wouldn't notice the difffrence.

So to answer you question it will be some what close to the same handling charatersitics.

Don't listen to him. OE Sports are similar to Integra Type R springs in terms of rates and drop and they can definitely be worth the time. If you don't ride in smooth as glass roads land this would be a very good setup. I know when I was researching my suspension everyone told me "go uber low or you'll regret it, ITR/OE Sports are a waste of time, blah blah blah". Well guess what, after some 1.5" drop springs and some Ground Controls I'm going back to stock because I spent about as much as I want to on my suspension. If I hadn't wasted my money listening to these guys I would have had the right setup the first time around.

That being said, your front end might end up a little lower because of the weight of the B-Series.

What kinda of deal are you getting on them. I got my H&Rs a few of years ago installed for just under $200. I got the ~1.5" drop and I love them. Not to low and they are nice and stiff. Plus I know the spring rate is designed for my car. I just looked on ebay and you can get H&Rs for the integra for $130. Just something to consider.
