can I use this head gasket (GSR)? take a look!
I bought this head gasket on ebay and the seller said it was brand new. Although when I got it, it was being held together with zip ties and a metal spacer between the two peices. The seller said it was from japan but i looked at my old gasket and it was held together by rivets and the same with the gasket that is being sold at the acura dealer. I already informed the seller about my observation and is more than willing to refund my money, but i just want to make sure that this gasket is un-usable. Here are some pics:

thats not a stock gasket, it looks like it has some sort of spacer inbetween the top and bottom layer to drop compression for a turbo motor

It is certainly useable like you asked, but if you're looking for a stock one, that's certainly not it.

it could be a stock gasket with some kind of copper spacer in between to lower compression. i dont know if i would trust it though.......send it back and just buy a new one from the dealer.
