95 civic smoking could it be to lean?
ive got a 95 honda civic with some head work and fuel rail. when i hit vtech then shift a small bit of black smoke comes out should i be worried? could it be b/c its running to lean?

i don't think you would see smoke if you are running lean.. yer rings may be shot and you are burning oil.. other than that there is something that is vtec related.. i forget as i'm not THAT knowledgable.. that is leaking..
black smoke = fuel
white/blueish smoke = oil
you might want to check valve seals / pcv valve clogged, stuff like that. try doing a search on black smoke.

be careful when u spell vtec on this site there is people that take a simple typo to extreme around here lol
try some oil treatment it cant hurt none but i agree it sounds like its running rich. just make sure its black smoke and not light blue.
