Accident, need help!!
alrite, my girlfriend hit on some one rear bumper in this morning, his hood is pop up a little but still can close, i look at his car, mechanically work fine, so i just tell him keep driving, and i wil fix it later for him.At 9pm, he call me said the wind blow his hood up and hit on his windshield, so now his windshield has a crack like a spider web from the center spread to the top of the glass. My question is there anything i can put on his windshield to prevent the crack getting worse or to fix it?
all help is needed , thanks.

ok ok, you need to rephrase your story there, i dont quite understand..
your girlfriend hit on some one rear bumper, now either your girlfriend was hitting on someones bumper, or your girlfriend hit someones bumper, and if his hood got damaged then im thinking it was her rear and his front, otherwise the hood would not have been damaged, hmm, i think ive got it now..
obviously if the wind blew the hood up the latches had been damaged, and you didnt check the latches carefully enough, started from one problem and put it off and you got another, learn from the first mistake you made, have the car fixed, you can always work out a deal to make payments

LOL got beef with him or something?
So your girlfriend rear ended this guy so hard that his hood crumpled? Whoa. What was she going like 190 mph? Is your English bad because you are from a different country or something or are you just some sort of high school dropout thug?
who was at fault tho? if your girlfriend got rear ended,or your girlfriend backed up and hit that dude. you should hire a lawyer and tell them what exactly happened, then you don say anything else and sit back relax.

I'm guessing that Mario is a native Spanish speaker and his post was, well, an example of putting in too much information.
His question was simple: <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">My question is there anything i can put on his windshield to prevent the crack getting worse or to fix it?</TD></TR></TABLE>
The answer is also simple: no. Since the crack is longer than an inch or so, the windshield will need to be replaced. The good news is that the cost of a windshield really isn't that expensive, if you are lucky and it's not a special shape then you're looking at maybe $175 to $250 or so, labor included.
My question is whether there was damage to the hood, and if the problem that let the hood fly up in the first place has been fixed.

this guy is crazy, i mean this is what must be going through his mind right now.
"Hmm, so i dont know anything about cars and since the hood went down i assumed it must have latched even though my girlfriend just damaged his front end, and it flew up while he was driving and cracked his windshield, because i did a quick fix and now after ive messed something else up ill just fix that so if his windseild shatters he'll get cut up by glass going 60mph and then he'll sue me"
let me tell you something man, putting stuff off is not the way to go, it just leads to more and more problems, take this for instance, you put off fixing that car, now your gonna pay even more than you were before because you put it off, you put off english class obviously and you cant even type a readable sentence, see how nothing works out?

i am sorry if i didnt make much sense in the first post. my girlfriend who is a GIRL rear end another car on the highway yesterday morning. The latches did not damage at all, but what i think is she did close the hood all the way. At night, when she was driving on the highway again about 70mph. she said the hood was blow up by the wind and banned to the windsheild. What i wanna get here is any idea to fix the windsheild or prevent the crack getting any worse. THANKS FOR ALL THE REPIES AND I HOPE YOU ALL CAN UNDERSTAND THIS TIME.
yes my friend you must understand that typing in a way everyone can understand really helps, you could get many different opinions from people by them misunderstanding the situation, i had thought your girlfriend damaged some other dudes car and his car had the hood and windsheild problem. But in this case, its kind of worse if you dont fix the car right away, your girlfriend should have made sure the hood was securely shut but didnt, and it is a risk to her car and herself to drive it over and over with the windshield like that, and like Heat said, the crack is a little large to just seal it and leave it alone
Your not going to be able to fix the windshield. It will have to be replaced. If windshield is not leaking, fix the hood and make sure it stayes latched, then get a new windshield. check around for best price.

Mars,
Before you get too far into fixing it make sure that the front cross member is OK otherwise you will be having a lot of trouble fixing up the front end.

Look at his original post it made no sense. Look at his second post he sat down and gathered his thoughts before he posted.
I understand what you are saying but it does not do any good to create a thread no one will understand.

Sometimes a little patronizing is what it takes to get the information you need. The second post made a lot more sense.
If the crack is over one inch in any direction you will have to replace the windshield. I don't think it would be safe to drive the car the way it is until the hood and the windshield are properly fixed.

Ummm . . . no not really. WWW does stand for world wide web so I don't think there really is a native language.
