Alright guys.
This problem started a few days ago, when I noticed the smell of gas when I got into the car. The smell would go away when I drive with the windows down, and once the smell is gone it doesn't come back while I'm driving. nor when I am standing at the light.
In either case, the smell is from fuel, not leaky exhaust. I can tell the difference.
I checked the fuel line, and there is nothing leaking around each end. [Firewall and fuel rail]
I can't smell any traces of fuel around the end of the motor where the fuel line connects with the fuel rail. However, I smell it on the other side.
Does anybody know what could be going wrong here?
Could a leaky exhaust also smell like gasoline? I have had a leaky header in the past amd it stinks...but the smell is very different.
Any help is much appreciated. TIA

Hey thanks for the reply.
I'm pretty sure that the smell doesn't come from there...It's somewhere in the engine bay. I"ll check though.
Thanks

Do these units go bad with time and milage? Or do I possibly have a leak somewhere?
TIA
