Default Clutch Installation

has anyone did a clutch installation while the engine is on the car? Or is it worth the time to just pull the engine out and then do the clutch.

If your engine is already, it will be a b_tch to pull the engine out just to do the clutch, go ahead and change it with the engine in.

I'm just wondering how hard it is, I've done a clutch job while the engine is off.. that was hell easy though. I guess I'm doing it the way you guys did! thanks

I done it, it's quite tough to do it on the floor, if you have a hoist it's much easier. You don't have to pull the motor, you have to remove the 3 mounts on the tranny and have something to support the engine like a cherry picker and u can't have the engine dangling on one mount your going to crack it. Other than that unbolt everything, dizzy, all tranny bolts, starter, linkages, suspension to remove shafts and drop it down. It wasn't that hard, it's just tight going under the car and unbolting the linkages and such and it's a bit harder putting it in and aligning the tranny b/c it's not very light so try getting a hand on installing her back in. That's about it, good luck
