hi, I have been having a problem with my 91 Accord (143k miles) not starting. It almost sounds like it needs gas, though it doesn't. This is happening about 40% of the time I try to start it. I turn the key, it cranks, but doesnt start, or maybe it will start, sputter, and die. After this happens, my sports mode light starts blinking. Now I recently also had another problem with the speed sensor where the speedometer would drop to zero when driving, and the sports mode light would blink. This problem I fixed when I replaced the speed sensor, but I still have this problem of it not starting at times, which seems to be increasing. Might anyone have any ideas? Thanks very much!

 

loose ignition coil or main relay. but it sounds like your getting no fire.
