Default finally finished findanza flywheel and xtd clutch install (performance review)

1st time for everything , seemed to fight me at every turn but well worth it . the xtd stage three clutch grabs nice but the pedal feels stock and i was looking for a hard core pedal pressure .. all in all grabs nice.. the flywheel is f-ing aswome it pulls so much nicer . 1st is wicked 2nd bangs and 3rd screems etc..i noticed that it just wants to keep pulling.. never got much passed 120mph before now 140mph is easy. the car feels like it shed 500lbs..verdict well worth the three days of m-f's to get it done with only 1 person and not having the best tools avalible ..next tb , crank under drive pulley, manule tensioner and balance shaft belt removal . see yaaaaaa.

HAHAHAHA. Sounds like you added a turbo.

I disagree with your review completely. I went from a stock clutch and flywheel to an Exedy race clutch and a Fidanza 8lbs flywheel. The acceleration "increase" was neglible. The car did not feel any faster. The ONLY benefit I felt was it made shifting gears easier because the rpm drops to where it needs to be for the next year a little faster. Also, the throttle response is a little better, especially when I rev-match.

Other than that, I felt no difference.

I've got the XTD stage 1 and 12lb flywheel. Pedal feels real soft, but the clutch holds very well. The light flywheel is also nice. Brought me into the high 14's

ive got a stage 3 exedy clutch w/ a 12 lb. flywheel. i can feel an alright difference with the flywheel and with 1500 miles on the clutch its still going strong. the pedal pressure is like stock but it grabs nicely. i had some problems with clutch chatter early on but it hardly ever happens anymore. overall though

EDIT - works for a daily driver

unlike some of the post i've read you don't have to rev it to 3000 rpm to launch it I can launch it at about 2100 rpm nicely. haven't been to the track yet but the local track is in orlando so i'm about 1hr away and sell cars witch takes up most of my time.. i'll post some track times soon. seee yaaa

hey, you know how it is. the more it costs in money, time, blood, sweat, or tears, the more effective the mod.

it's human nature, and the Honda-Tech way!

Well, I know this is a hella' old thread but here is a link to my experience w/ XTD so take it for what it's worth and hopefully someone that stumbles upon this will be saved the time and heartache of taking short cuts... I got it because it was cheap and I got cheap results... You get what you pay for and many don't realize that. Only good thing was the 14lbs. flywheel I got w/ it...
