Right now I have a eucalyptus green 98 lude SH. I want to paint it but im not sure what color i wana do. I want somethin that is unique but not too outrageous. A color that isnt stock on any lude. I was thinkin maybe s2000 yellow with a black racing strip down the center. Wut do you guys think ? Also how do the urathane kits hold up ? Generally will it hold up on a weekend car or is it too fragile ?
Spa yellow and a black racing stripe? Urethane kits? Put your flame suit on.
edit: How about orient blue: http://www.e60.net/gallery/ext...2.jpg .

it means that in most honda-tech members eyes your idea for your car is extremely ricey and more than likely wont look good at all. They will probably "flame"/"dis" you for you joining the ricer scene
instead of "flamming" i will give you some productive criticism...lol. you should take a look at some of the nicest, cleanest preludes out there. most just concist of very basic body kits, oem lips, or a lip kit. most of them dont have loud paint jobs like the s2k yellow.
in my opinion, if i had a 5th gen lude, i would leave it the stock color (silver preferably), get the mugen body kit or oem lip kit, carbon fiber hood and trunk, some 16" wheels (maybe some black rota slip streams), jdm fog lights, and lower it on some coilovers.
which ever way you decide to take your car, goodluck and i hope it turns out the way you want it.

well I dont think an r34 urathane kit is rice especially when the work is being done by one of the paint places/body shops on the east coast. I also dont see how s2000 yellow is rice either, so your saying that s2000s are ricey looking ? That doesnt make much sense to me. But anyway this car is gonna be in shows so I dont think you have much room to say people will think its rice. A simple I think it would be ricey would of been a fine response but dont call me a flamer. Just proves ppl have no lives and have nothin better to do than talk **** on ppl.
Don't get all worked up over this, I was trying to warn you how H-T members were going to reply to your post.
An R34 bodykit is rice, it doesn't follow the form of the car. Some model specific kits and lips are attractive because they were made to follow the lines of the specific vehicle. The R34 kit however is gaudy and in my opinion unattractive. If you find it attractive then more power to you but you cannot argue that the kit does or does not follow the lines of the car because it simply does not.
"Rice" is certainly subjective, people have different opinions on what "rice" is, but I think most would agree that it's making your car to appear faster then it actually is(or attempting to). Bright S2k paint, or a skyline body kit both give the outward appearance of vehicles that are faster then a Prelude. That's prob why most people consider mods like that to be "rice".
I agree with Abstract, a simple lip or body kit, designed for your model Prelude, and a more subtle color like the blue I suggested would be far more attractive in my opinion. If you don't agree that's fine I won't give you ****, I just want you to know that you're going to get **** when you ask for opinions. Especially on H-T and especially when you're asking about racing stripes and body kits.

r34 kit is rice, and racing stripes usually belong on domestics, are you trying to be a ricer?
