Default oxy-acetylene keyhole post part 2

thanks for the suggestions guys. I've tried to increase the acetylene flow/decrease oxygen with a neutral flame. here are the fruits of my labors from tonight.






my instructor tells me my flame is too hot. next class, i'm going to lower the flow of gases and try again.

i believe its RG-45. it's a thin, brass-colored rod.

looks like you varied you pace a bit, it get's wide, then burns through, then when the puddle starts again it's really narrow.
if you do burn through you can refill the hole, just give it a few seconds to cool. keep it up

community college. check out your local one. i'm sure they'll have some industrial tech classes.

I am taking classes as well here in Pa... My work looks somewhat similar.... i've been running countless amounts of beads on plates for weeks learning each type of welding...

I'll have to post up some of my **** sometime...
