As many of you know I am rebuilding my civic and doing a right hand drive conversion.

Many people (kids mostly) talked alot of **** about the parts and color combo....The over-all theme of the car changed mid project.

This time the engine bay will be black and some silver.

I got about half of my stuff back from the powder coater today.

Just thought some of you may like to see how it turned out.

Explain why having a clean under carriage is ugly?........Lemme guess it's the color.......Obviously you do not know the benifits of the powder coating.

Hard to scratch
Hard to chip.
Makes rough surfaces smooth.
Very easy to keep clean.
Most chemicals won't hurt it.
And shines like the best paint money can buy.

It's ugly....I suppose the rusty factory raw metal look is good.......

trust me, i know a lot more about powdercoating than you may think. yes its hard to scratch/chip, but wtf colors.

im not going to argue, to each his own. do what you want, you asked for opinions, so i just gave mine. and yes im speechless, in a wtf way.

I think they're referring to the cars appearance, and so many colors. Not the black powder coated parts.

Yeah you are correct..........When the car started it was being built as bet that involved a personal joke. The tag was to be JOKER. Long story........But you almost hit the nail...........It was the JOKER not the Riddler...

Most of your very high priced cars come with it standard....

I'm referring to the overall appearance of your car. Slammed...not peroformance oriented, bodykit...not performance oriented...color scheme...looks like a Maaco special if you catch my drift...all that =ricey.
Dont get but hurt when you asked for our opinion's. If its your style why do you care what others think. My car is ugly as **** on the outside...shitty red paint with a faded almost pink like rear bumper...but my car is more performance oriented so i could care less...plus I'm about to flat black it (no rattle cans) but hey if u like it thats whats important

Powder coating looks really good!!!!! How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

I was just looking at the average age of the people commenting and it is about 20 years old.......I am almost 38 and have a dif taste in what I like.
I have built many show winning cars over the years.......From Blown Mustangs and Corvettes to Crotch Rockets and Harleys. Without the over all car being done I can see where people might be confused or think the combos is loud and colorful......lol..........but that was the intent at the time.......
This is not a race car........daily driven car........It's something for people to look at.
You can eat off the bottom of this car..... It's odd that the times this car was driven locally that most find it cool......I am not hear to float my own boat.....But I enjoy working on the car. I think when finished some opinions here may change.

Damn i thought you were some ricey *** 20 year old...u have a great attitude so i wish you the best of luck on your build and be sure to remind us when you finish.

 

450.00 for everything in the pic plus a few small parts you dont see........(powersteering resevoir bracket, hood hinges and a couple other small things).
10 years from now they should shine like they do today......I have never seen that stuff fade.
