2-3 hrs to pull the tranny, 5 min to replace & 2-3 hrs to put the tranny back...if you are familiar with the process. If you're not familiar...add 5 hours

Definately know that's the problem before going through all of the work only to have to do it again.

Removing the tranny is an hour tops, if you know what you're doing.

considering the question, I'm assumed the guy hadn't pulled the tranny ~5 times like I have (1 was to replace the throwout bearing)

Don't be shy - call your local Acura service dept. or independent mechanic/Honda specialist.

Report back here with the answer. I'm figuring $90/hr labor but I'm not sure how many hrs they figure the job to take.

If you're in the tranny - replace everything you can reasonably afford. It sucks pulling again for a $40 part that is a 'wear' item. Why does everybody think it's reasonable to change the clutch 'because you are in there', but doesn't think it should work the other way around?

haha well smart people would have simply changed the 10 dollar part. cause now look he is spending another 400 bucks to change a ten dollar part. so you get the expletive out.
