An arrrr for sale. Help me decide if I should buy.

Find it here at http://www.samsriverside.com/.
Ok it is stolen. The price is $13900. Only 22k. Apperantly there is no damage.
What should I look for in a stolen car. Is it like any other car except of the history. So go or NO. Help a brotha out.
It says it has a regular title. Check for the parts that make it a type R. Seats, motor, trans, guage cluster, CF crap, dubs, sways, tower bar, check the vin, all sorts of stuff.
Oh it does but in the local paper add it says THEFT but not capitalized.
If there is anything fishy Iam running away from that. There is a dyno near by maybe take it there for my takout spin and checkout the numbers. Maybe not, cause I wouldnt know what stock type r numbers look like.

The rear bumper looks like it was painted off the car and doesnt quite match. Like Walker said, check the VIN #'s on the bumpers and fenders to see if they have been replaced. That is a good price for the milage.

PY has a tendency to look like that in photographs...

Theft doesn't really mean bad. Depends on what you want. If your looking for resale at a later time stay away. If your not to concerned with that and want an R for a decent price get the recovered one.
I thought it was a descent price too.
As for the color goes I think its the camera.
I had no idea you could check vin numbers on bumpers so thanks for that info.

I am looking for something that will go to the junkyard after Iam done with it. Right now I drive about 60 miles a day when i work less when its just school and my college next year will be about 2 1/2 hour ride away and I will make that trip every weekend.

If that's the case I woulnd't worry to much if it was a theft recovery. That only matter most when you are trying to resell the car down the road. If everything has been properly replaced with other ITR parts you should be ok. Such as seats, at least a JDM ITR motor and other things that may have been taken. Can you get the vin number and run a check on it to see if it was ever in an accident. If it was in a major one and the theft title I'd stay away, other than that, sounds like a deal to me.

I noticed from the first pictures on their website that the front bumper is missing the front lip..which could mean many things but I just thought I would point that out. I've also been at work all day but from the one picture it looks as though there is something out of place on teh left side of the rear wing...but maybe its because I've been staring at the computer screen all day.
I would email the place and ask for some more pictures as well, and run a check on VIN. Even if your just using it for daily driving you still want a reliable car that is in good condition.

btw, the car was stolen, from someone who lives by me... he lives up the street from me and drives by my house everyday, then one day i didnt see him driving it anymore, then another day i was looking on sams river side and i noticed it was on there. it doesnt have a front itr lip either just to let you know, and there is a dent on the driver side rear quarter panel, and a tiny spot of rust in the same spot.

To tell you the truth man, if you really want an R to work on or keep for a cheap price you cant go wrong their. Look at the car and see if it is something you want. If not pay up the extra cash and find one legit. If you are still going to worry about it, go to the dealer buy a dc5 and let warranty take care of your worries.
