Default Replacing starter on 99 passport???

Is it a simple job? Friend ask me if I could replace it for him but I haven't had a chance to even take a look at where it's located. Anyone ever replaced a starter on the passport? Is it about a hour job?

TIA

If it's a v6 a part of the exhaust has to be removed to get the bastard out.

ive done a few off these at work. all i can say is i hope he's paying you...well. u have to pull down the driver's side cat and those manifold nuts are a pain in the ***. try to do it in a place where u have an air compressor so u can use impact gun, air hammer, cut-off tool etc....

Yeah heard that it was a bitch to replace. So basically just move the cat out of the way and replace the starter right? I do have air tools and have done my fair share of repairs. I just wanted to know if I should even try to attempt it. And damn right he's paying me 250 for labor alone sounds good to me. **** I've replaced clutches and trannies for only 100.00 before.

Thanks for the help fellaz I'ma do this for some extra cash in my pocket .

Im a tech for a honda dealer. I would soak the studs in P.B blaster for a day because the is an actual service bulletin on the studs break and up dated nuts for the exhaust studs.
