Default Can a modded CRX take a Cavalier?

Hey i was wondering if an '88 CRX Si with DC headers (4-2-1), intake, custom exhaust piping, & a Supertrapp muffler take a Chevy Cavalier with intake and exhaust? I've also got weight reduction done on it and Azeni's. I dont know too much about the Cavalier, i just know that it has intake and exhaust for sure, i dont know what else. I really want to challenge this guy and win in front of his friends - he's a complete dick.

Let me know what you guys think...

BTW he has stupid underglow **** and a fiberglass hood that isn't painted and the car is purple! It's American rice.

Thanks

You sound like you are quoting some video game....I got weight reduction stage III done on it. Do you have the stage III suspension too? It sounds to me like you are just as bad as Cavailer boy. Street racing for Darwin awards is stupid. You are going out to race someone to impress people you don't even like? You 18 years old dude you need to chill out and not race him.

You would feel even dumber if you got beat by a Cavailer. Go home sit you nuts on a block off ice and let it roll off. If you race him you are just as g4y and will be another dick on the wall.

Should be able to, ive raced a newer cavalier long time ago when i had my SI motor in, the ones with the taillights that go all the way across, dont know what year that is.

Also good point Toad.

All the mods in the world can't help if you aren't an experienced driver, just my 2 cents. Toad said the rest perfectly so I won't repeat him.

Here's how you beat him, it's a secret Honda trick. When you're in third gear and roughly right beside him, turn your wheel towards him and ram his car off the road with yours. You will both have written off cars, and probably injured pretty badly. How do you come out the winner? Because no matter what, your car was cooler in the beginning.

I have a 2001 Sunfire, which we all know is the twin to the cavalier. Only mod done is intake. Up to 70 MPH I took my Sunfire by about a car with my civic back when I had the 70HP d15b8, compression gone in cylinder 4, 4spd civic standard transmission back from 1990, and my map sensor had fallen off the engine a while back.

Now with my DOHC ZC, it wasn't even a race, I blew by that thing like it was standing still. Not that hard to do when the sunfire has a 0-60 of 15.5 seconds.

(lol the fact that my civic beat it out still astounds me. my civic ran a 14.11 sec 0-60 back then, now its sub 8 seconds or so.)

cliff notes: it doesn't take much and i KNOW you've got the required equipment.

I harbor alot of hatred toward that car, and I don't know why.

CRX Toad - If we do race (if he's up to it) it'll be done in the middle of nowhere at night since i know he wont take it to a track. I'll attach pictures of my car so help you see my 'stage III weight reduction'. As for the suspension, i swapped the GAB coilovers in the front for some KYB AGX because the GAB's were [simply put] too good for the street.

Zaakro i live in the (818) area, if you know the guy with the Cavalier his name is Darrel and he has white 'streetglo' stickers on the sides.

you'll own his *** if you shed that much weight. good god. Cavaliers go like 18.5-19 seconds in the quarter.

I started my civic project after I lost a race in my sunfire to a 1987 Toyota Tercel, auto trans. That says something.

You bought a road race prepped crx to street race?

Do you bring a hockey stick to a baseball game too?
