Default Which welder: MIllermatic 135, Licoln 135T or Lincoln 135 plus?

this is goign to be a garage welder...and just used on our own cars doing exhaust and body work.

Theyre all within the same price range...but there's only small differences between the 3..and i've got no clue as to what they are.

bascailly:
auto body, exhaust use
need the one that will last the longest given it's properly taken care of

the main 2 that i am looking at are

LINCOLN SP135 PLUS MIG WELDER

and the

MILLERMATIC 135 MIG WELDER

like he said all i am doing is body work, fixing some exhaust stuff, and other odd and end things around the house. i do think that either of these would be good for body work. i am wondering to what extent i could use these. also please say if they are something different that you would recommend.

the only thing the plus has over the 135t is that the voltage control is infinate, as opposed to 4 "click" settings

is the "infinite" voltage control worth it over the 4 settings?

i think they go for like 100 bucks more....so i would say no, you can get a 135t for like 425 shipped refurb, with full warantee, or 450 new on ebay. Welding supplies at TOC or something like that. You can get a Lincoln 175 for 550....and while you need 220, you wont ever need another MIG.

so just get the 135 or the hobart, both are the same price and both have like exactly the same features, the hobart has a better 5 year warantee and all the parts interchange with the miller 135

I just bought the miller 135. I think the infinite voltage will come in handy for the thinner stuff

well not really i ended up getting the millermatic 135. i talked to the guy that is helping me to learn how to do body work. he said that either would be great. after talking to people on h-t and around here locally it seems that the miller welders win at about 9 to 1.

for me the price of each one was the same price. i got the miller 13 cent cheaper than the lincoln. so i went with it. i will let you know how i like it when it gets here.
