Default what head studs to use on b20

I am planning on putting on a DH-Racing built LS head on a b20. Does anyone know if ARP head studs for a LS will fit a B20 block?

i'm not to sure but it most likely will work since the B20 is just a B18b block bored out. and the only difference's between the b18 head and b20 head is that b18 has more aggressive cam profiles. you can check on http://www.nonvtec.com they have alot of info on b20's on there

they should fit.

a b18b head and a b20b head have absolutely no differences. the b20b head is literally an LS head. the only difference between the ls and b20 lies in the actual shortblock... but the heads are identical.

Yeah, Tommy, there aren't any imports down here on Hilton Head. Just some ricers who put wings and a muffler on there 93 Accords. I heard someone call them the wing squad! SO I doubt anyone down here would want it. Except me! But I'm about to go to school for 8 months in Pheonix, so I can't be buying **** at the moment.

The ARP headstuds should fit. Go to a local shop some time and find out though, cant go wrong there.

Sorry Bro, the nearest shop is like 100 miles away! I live on Hilton Head Island, where I have the only fixed up DA on the whole island. There are no serious import tuners where I live, just the wing squad (stated earlier in the thread). The only people down here are rich and old. They don't mess with Hondas, they mess with Mercedes, and Lexus, and private jets!!! I just moved down here from VA, and I wish I had the luxury of having shops nearby.

well damn that sucks for you, BTW the b20 and b18a/b have the same blocks and heads....unless its the rare jdm b20 with the p8r head. the head studs are the same.

I'm making sure that I get one with a p8r head, which to my knowledge, only was made in 98. The intake valves are the same size (33mm) as the type r. They measured a PNP p8r on a flow bench against a type r. They results were the same, even with stock cams! SOOOO, I won't really need to make a b20 VTEC, I can roll straight non-VTEC, and then I won't have to revv to 8 thousand to make power, and wear down my stock bottom end.

i dont think they flow up to ITR, maybe more like close to a b16 head, the intake valves are vtec sized 33mm. i was thinking about getting a b20 with a p8r head, but i found another ls engine here locally thats was missing the pistons and im currently building that for boost gl with your build

It was in stock form, that the p8r head flowed substantially better than the ls head, but not quite to the b16 head, then they gave it the ol PNP, and it flowed equal to the type r. I read it on nonvtec.com
