Default "Small Update" or "Building an engine in your underwear can be fun"

Got the short block back mid last week, been working on assembling the top end etc...

So clean:

Ross 9:1 81.5mm pistons, Eagle rods, Arp head studs (duh), stock sleaves:

Some Bling (ceramic coated):

The "Shop":

The other thing I've been doing to occupy my time:

I've got a slight complaint about the Moroso pan. Check out where they put the oil return bung. WTF???? Who has their turbo way over there? I'm going to have to weld another in as I don't have a clear shot to it with my compressor piping in the way.

Now I just have to wait patiently for my tb, im, fw friction surface, oil bung, copper nuts, and oh ya..... More Money More Money More Money.

ITR turbo builds are NOT CHEAP. expletive.

I can only imagine the look on my wife's face if she came home to a shortblock and my toolbox in the living room... You're my hero.

thats retarded on how moroso pan lines up for return line, turbo rebuilds are not cheap.. but i found a way to feel better about it, its cheaper than buying another car every few years.. thats my exuse for sticking with it..

.....are you sure the words "small" and "in your underwear" should be in the same sentence?

Going to run 15-18lbs. I think the stock sleaves can take it, I've seen 500hp stock sleaves in the FI forum, and ChrisF runs basically the same setup as I do on the track.

Damn, building a motor in your apartment? That's about a white trash as it gets right there.

In any event, it looks top notch!

Nice looking engine.

PS: Were you wearing your "racing underwear" while doing the build....you know the one with the skidmarks?
