Default Adjusting Turn Signal Speed

I know there are aftermarkt applications that can adjust the speed of your turn signal speed, but I also know that manually you could adjust the speed yourself. Can anyone explain to me how I could speed up my turn signal speed? Also, my emergency light button does not seem to be working. I press the button, but it does not catch. What could be wrong with it?

If you take out a turn signal bulb, it will speed up the remaining signal on that side, only way that I know how you can do it, but why do you want to?

Check your relay, and I see that your new, try a search.

Do you want to make your blinkers blink faster? I don't understand why people like this, but.....

You need the new halogen blinker fluid.

Just kidding.

If you want to do it yourself, without purchasing anything aftermarket, you just need to pull out the front turn signal lenses. There will be two or three wires going to the lens. Reverse the outer two. You are basically reversing the polarity of the signal going in.

That will make your blinkers blink as though the car thinks a bulb is out. The downside to this is, your blinkers won't be very visible at all when your primary parking lights are on at the same time. Doing this "modification" makes both your filaments come on. So when they are supposed to blink, nothing much happens.

If you don't want to encounter this problem, and you don't feel like reversing the polarities, there is a blinker relay you can purchase that will do this. Just do a search for blinker relay.

Thanks guys for all your help. I'm new so let me introduce myself. I'm Alex from the Oahu Integra Club in Hawaii. In the future I'll make sure I use the search feature before posting

Read my post, n00b! (EDIT: Heh, same join date. )

The REAL ricers just pull out a bulb or bust a single filament.
The ricers switch the polarities on the turn signals.
The ricers with extra money pay for a relay like the above poster mentioned.

take off the turn signal relay box. theres a capacitor in there that you can remove and replace with different capacitors to increase the blink speed

There is no such thing as a aftermardet turn signal speed adjuster. And really there is no way to asjust the speed of it. I dont see why u would even want to adjust the speed of ur turn signal. Best thing to do is just leave it alone.

Since we are on this subject, I might as well ask a question. The previous owner of my Teg did something to the turn signals. I know the he Jerry-rigged the wiring for the sidemarkers. It works and blinks like the way JDM ones do. The issue is, the driver side blinker blinks normally like stock. The passenger side however does the "ricer" blink and annoys the crap out of me. How do I fix this? The hazard blinks normal as well. Are there 2 separate relays for a left and right blinker?
