Default power increase by switching from odb2 to odb1

Getting ready to drop in a D16Y8 into my 96 CX. Engine was just rebuilt with Eagle rods and SRP 10.5:1 pistons balanced, AEM adj cam gear, OBX intake and fuel rail, I/H/E. I've got both the PCM for the D16Y8 and one from a 95 Civic EX. I know switching to OBD1 seems to be a big thing right now is there any HP benefits from this? What kind of numbers are we talking here?

I think more than anything it allows more flexibility when tuning using Hondata, Uberdata, etc.

yep, switching to obd-1 is for tuning. if you're not that modified, then just go with the obd-2 computer. plus with the y8, you can't just add the p28. the timing is different between the z6 and y8. so just using a stock p28 on a y8 will cause you to loose power and not run properly.

wouldn't the p28 have more advanced timing since most cars for emissions had to retard the timing a bit?
