Start Up Trouble
Hi, I'm having a problem where my car will crank but immediately shut off. I checked my battery cables and found them totally loose. After tightening them down I found my car would start like normal. It lasted through the weekend fine. This morning I go to crank it and it turns over, but doesn't stay cranked. I have a portable charger so I hook it up and it cranks fine. I drive to work and turn off the car. Go to crank it again and it turns over but stops immediately after it fully starts. I waited a few hours and tried to crank it again and it started up fine.
A friend says it could be a relay sticking. Does anyone know if this sounds right? I spent the morning searching for altenators just in case, but then it goes and starts up. We did have 40 degree weather last night, and now the sun has been up and its a sunny 51 degrees.
Any help would be much appreciated.
