Default What Turbo should I wear?

Ive now decided to put a turbo into my 89 prelude. Is there any particular brands or types that work well in older model preludes And would it be better to upgrade my ECU before or after the turbo is fitted? Any help would really.......help.

You might want to start out in the FI FAQ section:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1024174

Lots of good information

Look in the forced induction forum here on H-T and read all the FAQS. You need a LOT more info....

Its kinda like this:

Whats the point of putting a turbo on a vehicle just to get 210hp to the crank? Mitsubishi Eclipse

When you can have 200 to the crank w/out turbo? - then boost that.........4th 5th gen preludes</TD></TR></TABLE>

This is a really dumb post... No further posts by the Kingpin shall be taken seriously..

Thats perfectly fine. Yes it was a little "out there".......

All i'm saying is, don't waste your money boosting a 3rd gen unless you have the money for it - and its being used as a project car. I say keep that money and buy a 4th gen.

The problem is that this is a tech board and you seem to think of it as just talking to some random people on the street. Like giving broad, general opinions not based on any facts and making tons of pointless posts that serve no purpose. This is why you have 1000+ posts in 4 months and still don't know that much (relatively speaking, of course)....

Correction: I have as many posts as I do because I damn there stay on HOnda-tech 24-7. I offered my opinion. None of you have offered your opinions at all. This is a tech forum right? So - offer some tech advice.

there is a large difference between tech and opinion....

whoring non tech posts is frowned upon, as is whoring non-technical posts on tech threads...

Thats fine. I respect everyone's oppinion - but there's no way everyone's going to tell me I don't write tech related things. Hell, most of the threads on here are people asking for opinions.

Like i said, I respect everyone's view - and I will try to work on that.

Sorry to be whoring 89'aussieprelude's post like this. Just check the Faq's & when you have more specific ?'s hit us up.

Anyways, Kingpin, what we are getting at is that the jist of your typical post is "Uh, I don't know but let me hold your hand while we wait for someone that knows what they're talking about comes along."

Stop filling threads with your worthless statements that people seeking valid information have to wade through.

Lets give some examples.....because i know for a fact most of the time when I post, the intent is to help the other guy. Everyone else says : SEARCH. Thats it. To me, thats post whoring......not offering your honest opinion. Thats all I look for - peoples opinion. Because believe it or not, it helps me while making decisions.

Alright. I'll just stop posting period unless its technical. I won't give my opinions. I won't say ****.

I'm not going to spend all day looking for posting examples, but here's one from today for example: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1412833

All I'm saying is that most of the threads on here are asking for opinions.

Notice how many people on these threads are POST WHORING......people who've been here for a while also.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1412527
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1412784
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1412842
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1412652
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1412454

When someone asks for help - everyone just runs. Or they ignore the post, and wait for it to get to the 2nd-3rd page. If you look on those pages, a lot of people need help with things.
