superchager or turbo????
I have a 5th gen lude and trying to decide on a turbo or supercharger if you have any videos of 5TH gen preludes turbo or supercharged please post it I have looked and since the prelude isn't exactly known to be crazy fast (compared to civic) I'm having a hard time finding them thanks
The Prelude forum has a video thread, I posted my slow 97' SH running 4.5psi. Others may have posted more FI videos by now though..

Agreed. I got way more horsepower from my tornado fuel saver than my turbo.

personaly i tink a supercharger is a waste of money
i mean they react good but it takes a big investment
to make them work good especialy since ther not intercooled
and produce alot of heat
i would turbo that bitch....eheh

Some points about both.
SC: instant power that is related to RPM. Works well at low RPM. Boost from low to mid RPM. It has limitations though. Increasing boost requires changing pulleys, Boost levels off at high RPM without further increase so top end performance is not that good. And it takes some of your available hp to drive it. Intercoolers are usually not included with kit, but available for an additional cost.
TC: Smaller, lighter, quieter, no direct load on engine. Most don't spool till 3500rpm or more, which is an advantage with better fuel economy. It is more customizable with various wheels and housings. Boost can be made to come in early or come in late at a higher boost level. Boost can be increased to the point of blowing the hell out of you engine if you want. Most every kit includes an intercooler. Most kits either cost the same as a SC or even less.

Roots type blower, good for low hp applications. Pretty much instant boost and a very linear powerband. Still not better than a small turbo in most apps.
Turbo, the best, period.
Centrifugal blower, the bad qualities of a roots blower and turbo all in one convenient package.

Jackson Racing Superchage on a stock lude will give you 230whp-240whp most. Go to http://www.superhonda.com you'll find out. IMO turbo is the way to go
