bad news. crashed my lude.
i crashed my lude yesterday exiting the highway where there was a sharp turn. it was raining that day and it was real slippery. my car fishtailed and i started swerving to regain control, drove over the island divider smashed into the curb/gaurd rail and ended up back on the island. rim is distroyed, quater panel is pushed in, rotor snapped on driver side rear. luckly i didnt hit anyone and no one hit me during this accident. i drove it off into a parking lot and got AAA to tow me back home. emotinally depressed that my car is hurt. here are some pics.
my questions.
worth it to fix?
should i just part out?
any idea of an estamite of how much it would cost to fix?
btw, i dont have full coverage on my car. so this is my loss. insurance wont cover it.

NEW PIX with wheel off.

i would first take off that rim and inspect for further damages... ie your suspension before considering whether its a loss or not .. kind of hard to tell..
but the quarter panel doesn't cost TOO much to fix unless you go to a high end spot. sucks to hear bro.

yeah, that sucks man! i feel your pain
It looks like the LCA may just be bent, and thats a relatively easy fix. If you get in there and find that all the suspension mounting points on the body are fubared then you may want to consider cutting your losses there. . .

You could always get a professional estimate, since many of us aren't body experts.
That being said, remember that if you like this car, it has been reliable to you, and you can see it going for several more years, even an estimate of 3000 may be okay...because a new car will certainly cost more than that.
The only problem, to me anyways, is if it could be back to the way it was. As in, not permanently affected by the crash.
Sorry to hear though. Crashes are poop.

Not another 4th gen
... Start taking stuff off and looking at it like the wheel, the rotor and the suspension parts. You'll hopefully be able to see what needs to be fixed/replaced.

Most likely you'll have to replace that entire hub assembly - because the wheel bearing isn't serviceable. Thats what happened to me. I'm still looking for one. It costs about 130 if you buy it from autozone or napa or something. It doesn't look that bad overall.

Very sorry to hear about your car digital helix. Do you have the helms manual for reference measurements? If you decide that your chassis is still square relative to those measurements and you want a new rear subframe, toe link, front part of the lower control arm, or UCA I would be willing to give them up cheap. Best of luck my friend.
Dude that really sucks...a guy ran a stop sign on thursday and I hit him..hopefully its not my fualt lol..the cop 1st said I was going 33.6 on a 35mph zone..then 1hr l8r served me 4 a ticket of going 40 in a 35mph zone..who's fualt or what? (Accident)
I would figure anywhere from 2,000-2,500 your .25 doesn't look bad and the only thing that needs to be painting is the .25 and the bumper (and the fuel door becuz the paint from a shop doesnt always match) suspesion wise see if you can repair it yourself good luck
I say its going to be around 1500 to fix with new parts or 700 with used
.
look inside the wheel-well and see if the mounts are bent. if not just go to a junkyard and get all of that and replace. It shouldn't be more than 300. don't know about new but used is good! Fix it its not her fault u hit the rail, ITS NOT HER FAULT!

That quarter panel looks fixable to me but if you take it to
a professional bodyshop they're probably gonna say you need to
replace the QP. That;s not gonna be cheap. Probably somewhere around 3k.
My Lude got smashed in the front end by some 16yr old kid the other day.
2287 dollars in damage.
No big deal though for me. I work at a bodyshop and I can fix it myself for 5-600
and pocket the change. W

That is so fixable it's not even funny.
New parts, or used parts it doesn't matter. Fix the suspension, get a new wheel, and drive it till you can afford to have the small dent fixed (and trust me, compared to what I see a lot, that is SMALL.)
Unless you just want a new car, in which case I'll give you $50 and tow it away for free.
What a deal for you!
Honestly I think you could piece if back together just from looking around on Honda-Tech.
