Default 94 cx motor fit in an EF

i dont know much about the differences in honda's, i can work on them though

i swapped a motor for one of my friends for his 94 cx, in return he gave me his stock motor, since i dont have a honda, i have no use for this motor.

a friend gave me a call looking for a motor for one of his friends 88 crx's, i told him i have a motor from a 94 cx laying around. will it fit? if not what will be needed to make it fit?

it will fit..mounts the same except for the hydro tranny and timing mount...but y would he want to put a 8 valve motor in his crx?? the civic cx is the same as the crx hf

Yeah, as stated about it will work as long as you use the crx tranny with the corosponding clutch and flywheel. Also use the crx tranny mount, driver side mount, and rear tranny bracket. thats about it as far as mounting it up goes.

Also your friend would want to use his crx dizzy also unless he wants to upgrade to obd1.

Exactly. Unless you are just looking for a motor to get a dead car on the road (and NOTHING ELSE), there is NO reason to swap this motor into a CRX.
