One brake light out... can't find the problem
Passenger side rear brake light is not working on my 95 civic sedan and I can't figure out why. I checked all the fuses and changed out the bulb, and still it is not working. is there any sort of brake light relay that needs to be replaced or what not? I'm new to the electrical issues, so don't bash me too bad
when you say "check the wires", what exactly am i checking them for and where? I did mess around with the wires on the harness for the light in the back and all seemed fine.
My suggestion would be to get a volt meter and either work your way from the fuse to the light housing or work your way from the light housing to the fuse. Find out where you lose you voltage (if indeed you are not getting juice there) I once had to do this on a Toyota....it takes a long time and it is a bitch but it's the only sure way of doing it.
could the housing that holds the bulb have just gone bad? excuse my laymans terms but the plastic thingy that holds the bulb and has the connectors on the bottom. i just find it odd that the tail light works but not the brake light...
actually took out the lights today and what do u know? the little connectors where the bulb is housed was completely melted (im guessing on the brake light side). simpler than i expected. hopefully
