If by 'B18 series' you mean LS, then I have to disagree. The LS is no equal to a GSR or ITR. Even the B20Z (non-VTEC) is no equal to either of the above two motors. And the B20Z is ALOT better than an LS.

Which one is best depends on what you're going for. If you want good power straight OEM, then a GSR or ITR motor will do you fine. Complete B16 swaps can be had for fairly good prices these days too (check http://www.hmotorsonline.com), so don't rule them out. It also depends on the model you have. DX or HF owners will be happy with an LS, unfortunately complete LS swaps (at least on HMO) are rather expensive in relation to the power they make, though I've seen some good deals here (my friend got a B18B for 150 bux minus the intake mani, dizzy, and exhaust mani). I honestly think a B16 is your best option, cost per performance wise.
