i recently acquired a sliglty damaged ( in a crash ) used civic spoon strut bar
and i can say that i am really deceived by the quality
the aluminium is of good quality..but i do not think it does give the desired strength
i was able to bent the bar with my knee arms ...
i wonder how good it can hold a car with the angle it got..
let's say that if u make it a tiiite fit on the strut bolts..pressures can go up pretty quick when cornering hard for the few mm of play that forces against the bar
the bars are made of empty tubes of aluminum
they are pretty lighweight though..
but i think i'll pass on getting one for my prelude and i'll just desing one myself using a solid 6150 aluminum bar..
then one thing..i noticed that the fitting from the brakets to the bars have a slight loose into them.. i think that this was intentionally left for easier install..but that doesn't quite help either for supporting the car movements
neway
..
just my 2 cents
i would prefer a more solid bar ..gotta have to find a design taht could fit the lude and have more than only the struts as attachment points
maybe a X up to the front..
