Default Myriad of problem after head install.

Well I broke my timing belt a few months ago. I managed to bend all 16 valves. I finally got around to replacing the head today and I've come across a couple of big problems.

Firstly, a bad oil leak. My plugs are drowning in oil. Maybe 2 inches worth. Any ideas?

Secondly, it sounds different. The car hesistates and doesn't pull as hard on the low end anymore and it's also gotten louder and sounds like a ricer with an assblaster exhaust.

Help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm mostly worried about the oil leak. I'm sure the harsh engine noise and response is a timing issue which I could probably fix...

Of the hundred of things that it possibly could be here are a few of my thoughts.
1. It could be the oil spark plug seals which are bad that is what it sounds like
2. If you did not adjust timing (the distributor) and make sure that you lined the crank pulley up with the cams look at a helms) it will tell you which marks to line up. if you have a timing light pull the little plug that is below the dizzy and shine the timing light in there to read timing losen the distributor housing bolts up to tunr in counter or clockwise and this will adjust timing. I think it is like 15 degrees with advanced timing in + or _ 2 degrees....
those are what I would start with....

Did you replace the head gasket? Was the head milled? is the block straight?

Did you rebuild the head? is it used?

If you have that much oil on the top of the pistons you shouldn't be running the engine at all. liquids don't compress like gasses.
