Default My B20Vtec DC2 times

60': 2.242
330: 6.105
1/8: 9.239
Mph: 79.09
1000: 11.927
1/4: 14.204
MPH: 99.35

other runs, 14.3 @99 and 14.4 @ 97

DC2 with Jdm front, not sure of weight. No AC, I have Power steering, full interior.

B20B, Wiseco 11.3, 84.5mm, Eagle rods, new honda bearings, oil pump, water pump and gaskets.
Stock B16 head, with Rev valvetrain and AEBS Head bolts.
Stock B16 IM, stock TB
GSR cams.
Injen 3' Type R CAI
Stock GSR header.
Crunch bent 2.25 exhaust with fart can.
GSR transmission.

Forgot to add, running Stock OBD2A P72 /w VAFC2 Vtec @ 5300 not tuned yet.
Also running, RC 270cc injectors.

Overall, I'm happy with my results. My driver side motor mount is broke, so I didn't really want to launch aggressive. Just did a dead stop 2k clutch slippage-full throttle, so tires didn't really matter. Most likely high 13's with fix mounts, good tires, and better launches.

Speant around 2.5k(not sure, but can gather all my recipes), got the block cheap due to it being damage(mount holes). Work at Honda, so got most OEM parts cheap.

Stock crank, no balance. Only thing done was rebore and rehone for 84.5 mm pistons.

Running stock OBD2 P72

DIY.

Search for LS/Vtec conversions, a B20 block is basically a LS block with 84 MM sleeves.

As for head, traded my Gsr head out of my old setup for the B16. My GSR head had bent valves, and I like the B16 intake manifold.

Wait, wait. Thats a little pricey for me. What actually is done to your car? You have the B20 already in your car or is he assembling the whole setup? The bolts I used was AEBS Gsr head studs. Forgot to add that, oops . Your going to need GSR size head bolts. No problems, the only reason I went with the B16 head was time and I like the B16 IM.

Just take out that head, and put the B16 head in yourself. Read around, search for LS/Vtec conversions and how-to's. They even have kits out there to make things simple(Golden Eagle MFG ). I piece together my own lines and stuff (cost less). Get a Helms manual and some tools.

i have had no problems reving high with my b20 - just need good air supply (at least 3" cai)
people without a b20 just say that because they want one....

when it was NA, i would rev to 8k + (8.5k cutoff)
with my turbo i only go to about 6.5k, wheels break loose then, i need better tires

Yes I like this info as well. My setup is almost identical, except I have 11:1 CR, 2.5" exhaust, DC header, SRI and VTEC at 5600rpm. I ran 14.6 @94.5mph in full interior EK coupe on DR. Your times are good considering circumstances. What rpm do you shift?

8k(my tach is a little off), or as far as I can . I can feel the power dropping really fast around 7300-7400, but I still go to 8k, since it'll drop me to a greater power band next gear.

you should really get your car tuned as soon as possible..

right after my friend finished his motor, it would run great for about a minute and lean out pretty bad..we were monitoring it w/ a wideband...

it was impossible to tell just from the engine alone...and i dont know if a vafc can read your a/f ratios...

looks like you need to finish your motor w/ cams and a header...

ok but people say the motor isnt good for turbo because of the thinner sleeves so you would spend more just to have it ready for boost than actually spending on boosting?????????
