Did you try K&N's site?

if it doesn't fit, you must aquit. It should fit. I think it will work fine. If you find the same filter with the right year it may just have a different model# but same specs. You should be fine

their site doesn't provide much information at all. they only provide a list of sites that sell their **** (looked through the sites and they didn't show a intake for my yr.).

From this it looks like it should work:

1995 LS Air Intake
1999 LS Air Intake

Both tubes have p/n 17228-P75-000. Perhaps there is an issue with other components in the RF of the hood. I would email K&N.

I don't know if this is the same for LS integras. But alot of the newer(obdII) cars I've seen have the IAT in the intake pipe while the older(obdI) cars have the IAT in the intake manifold.

LS and GSR is different, so get the part# before you buy anything. a good site should list it as vtec and non-vtec, not just 1.8L

If you do that, modify the airbox in the RF fenderwell so that it pulls cool air from behind the fender instead of from behind the ABS unit. I used a universal K&N filter (RU-2820) in my modified airbox.

Cancel that Just pull the passenger fenderliner near the front bumper and Hack the white intake tube where it meets the large box so that the intake is drawing air from the front fender liner area instead of the abs area, then use metal strapping to ensure the plastic tube doesnt fall out, Then drop in your k&N and youve got yourself a DIY icebox and no lost Torque due to hot Engine temps

The engine bay looks stock, as my air cleaner box is in tact. I replaced the resonator in the fenderwell (94-01 GSR) with custom 4" diamter piping that is fluted at the air entrance.

The stock resonator box looks like this:

You could simply replace part 5 or eliminate the box like I did.

the box has baffles to reduce sound so I just cut the whole thing out, keep it in if you like driving through puddles, or something.

Like stated by dogginator just remove the whole box its pointless.

that's what I did already (is eliminate the box). all I have is the filter, filter box and intake tube. So does anyone have any good statistics as to what a K&N Filter will do to help?

At a bare minimum, it will save you about $25 per filter change. (yeah, you can buy crap filters for less. I have had the glue separate from the mount tube on those.)

its not so much they have to be special but its the fact that one will out perform another.

Also, wouldn't it be better to keep the air box on (it does help filter out some dirt and water)?
