Default SportShift Redline

I seem to remember reading that the sportshift preludes redline at 6600rpm rather then 7200 rpm. But I noticed that the guage in a 01 sportshift shows a redline of 7200rpm just like the 5spd models. Anyone know what the deal is?

I don't know, but i shift between 7500-7800 so I can get my rpms correct for the next shift. I have a light flywheel.

Same engine, so it should be the same redline. Whether or not the TCM allows the engine to rev as high is it can I can't tell you, since I don't have one, but it would be highly irregular if it didn't.
