Default Transmission Troubles :: 1990 DA

I'm taking the transmission from a stock B18a1 ('90 Integra GS) and bolting up to a B18b1 (94+ Integra LS) The blocks look identical where the transmission mounts up, my flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch disk (all from the '90') bolt up and slide on just fine, but when i go to pull the clutch lever (cable transmission) the throwout bearing doesnt seem to be hitting the Pressure plate fingers..

Any suggestions? Do i need a 94+ clutch/pressure plate assembly? This is THE ONLY factor holding me up from getting this swap finished, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe there two different trannies completely? Isn't one a hydro and the other cable, correct me if I am wrong.

Theoretically that shouldnt matter though should it? Shouldnt any B series transmission bolt up to any B series block?

yes it should mount right on. but you do have to make some mods in order to have it work. you would need to convert from a shiftlinkage to able. why aren't you just using the b1 tranny?

Okay, from EVERYTHING that i've searched, it should bolt RIGHT UP.. I talked to the guy at Acura, and he confirmed this. There is no balance difference on the crank between the auto and manual.. Everything is transmission centric. Both engines built for AUTO and MANUAL are the same, so why Isnt this working? I've been told it was an installation error so i'm gonna take it apart and try and double check EVERYTHING.. Wish me luck, i really want to get this car running..

PS. I'm refinishing some wheels, i've been using 80 grit to get the spraypaint off.. It's a long process.. Would I be pushing my luck going to a 40 grit, and coming back with 80/160?.. Would that take too much out of the metal?
