Need some edvice ..I have fully built B20/Type r head and for some reason after racing last night everytime i leave the car to idle it shuts off , or it idles up and down from 500rpm to 1300 rpm. The exhaust is making a different sound as well (sounds like a WRX now) and i feel like iam loosing back pressure. Also there is a flickering coming from somewhere on the exhaust. I dont know where to begin so need some guidence.
i think it may be one of these><
-piston rings are going bad
-exhaust leak
-gasget leak

do a compression test and see what the numbers are. anything leaking that u can see? any pic of the set up? what are the specs on the motor

 

i dont have a pic of the setup right now iam at work but ill list you some specs.

je pistons 11:5 compresson
eagel rod
toda valves
toda valve springs
skunk 2 cams
dc headers
thermal 3" ex

theres a lot more but i think that should give u an idea
