Default SRS Light Flashes When Checking For Codes

When I jump the little connections to check my CEL code, instead of the CEL light blinking, the SRS light blinks non-stop. It just flashes on and off. I tried multiple times and each time, the SRS light blinks instead of the CEL.

This is a 95 Honda Civic EX
The connector I am jumping is blue with a green boot.
On the same wire loom is another connector with three contacts and is encased in some foam tape. I'm pretty certain I am jumping the right connector.

Anyone know how I can check my codes?

Everything you described is normal, whats the problem? The cel will start blinking if a code is stored.

Did you even read? He said the SRS light is blinking not the CEL.

You are checking it correctly. Do you even have your CEL light on? You know you have to have a code first before it will tell you anything.

The SRS light blinking is the same thing, basically. You check your ABS error codes the same way you check your CEL codes. Count the flashes and look up your ABS codes.

Yes... I do have a CEL. This is probably why I am trying to check it.

The SRS light blinks without stopping. I tried counting once and stopped counting at 73.
